Ana Henriquez

Member of the Quebec Bar, Ana Henriquez launched her own law firm in 2016. Strong and determined, she is convinced that hard work and perseverance are the key to success.
Her practice is both family and immigration law. She is dedicated in divorce cases, especially for domestic and gender-based violence. But also, in defending asylum seekers.
In addition, when Ana Henriquez was still in Law School, she participated to the Pro Bono Program as an intern, and qualified for an award for her involvement and was introduced into the Honour Roll at the Faculty of Political Science and Law at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM)
Since 2000, Ana Henriquez is also member of the Columbian Bar « Consejo Superior de la Judicatura ». She also has a specialization in public law since 2005. Before arriving in Canada, she already had seven years of experience in civil, public and criminal law.

Camila Velasquez

Camila Velasquez is a member of the Quebec Bar since 2021. Graduated of the Bachelor of Laws from Sherbrooke University, Camila Velasquez has quickened her thinking and wanted to widen her horizons in choosing a combine program with an MBA.
While in Law School, Camila Velasquez was involved in several charity causes, especially in writing a manual for immigrant women victims of domestic violence. This was elaborate in partnership with the Pro Bono organization. She was also the vice-president for the intercultural organisation World University Service of Canada (WUSC).
Always curious about other cultures and passionate about traveling, Camila Velasquez studied abroad for one semester at Alfonso X el Sabio University in Madrid – Spain.
Camila joined HA in may 2016 when she graduated from a Paralegal Technology Program, and she is still part of the team but now as a lawyer.

Ludmila Lupu
Lawyer
Me Lupu joined our team as an articling student and then as an attorney. She immigrated to Quebec in 2015, having a Bachelor's law degree from the Free International University of the Republic of Moldova and a master's degree in European Union law from the University "Spiru Haret" from Romania. Envisioning her future within the beautiful province, she has done her equivalences at the University of Montreal to integrate into the Bar School in 2021.
Before immigrating to Quebec, Me Lupu worked as a legal advisor for the Ministry of Justice of Moldova for over nine years. This experience allowed her to gain valuable experience in legal research and drafting and to learn to understand the needs of others better.
Me Lupu is determined, rigorous, and attentive. Driven by her desire to learn new fields, she studied at the Estonian School of Diplomacy. To familiarize herself with the legal systems of different countries, she has participated in several training courses in Japan, the United States, Greece, Lithuania, and Belgium.
She is quadrilingual and can provide legal advice in English, French, Romanian, and Russian.

Brenda Isleno
Legal Assistant
Daughter of Salvadorans immigrant, Brenda grew up in a family of five children. In her childhood, her parents always made sure to point out how important it was to think of others, and that one must always remain humble in life.
Since she started working, Brenda was always interested in Customer Service. Her experiences especially allowed her to acquire interpersonal skills with children, teenagers and adults of different ages and background. Attentive and empathetic towards others, she finds it easy to bond with people.
After graduation from the DEP in secretarial studies, Brenda was offered an internship at Henriquez Avocats. The team's humanity towards their clients was the main reason why she decided to continue working for this law firm. Brenda decided to return to school to specialize in legal matters.
Brenda returned to Henriquez Avocats after completing an internship in the fields of business, criminal, and penal law, and even more certain that she wanted to pursue family and immigration law.
Jacqueline López
Legal Assistant
Jacqueline joined Henriquez Avocats in May 2023 as an intern in the immigration department. As a result of her hard work and diligence, she was hired a few weeks later as an immigration manager.
In her studies in psychology, she realized that immigration was her true passion, as helping people is something she values greatly. She graduated from the Canadian Immigration Management program at College Herzing. She enrolled in this fall's certificate program in immigration and interethnic relations at the University of Quebec at Montréal due to her interest in the subject.
Since Jacqueline is an immigrant herself, she knows how important it is to manage an immigration file. In her work environment and with her clients, she strives to reflect empathy, professionalism, and respect.
Marvin de la Espriella
Digital Marketing Director / Press Relations Manager
His passion has always been digital marketing, new technologies, and communication. He is a tireless explorer and autodidact. His motto is: "discover the great potential of things, even if they seem small."
About ten years ago, Marvin realized that many Montreal businesses were less present on the Internet and were not profiting from this great expansion tool. That is when he decided to offer his services as a web strategist to several legal, tourism, and educational companies to help them build customer loyalty and improve their visibility and positioning in the digital world.
Between 2017 and 2020, as a consultant for Henriquez Avocats, he was responsible for the company's digitalization process to improve team productivity and structuring and to implement an annual web marketing plan. In 2021, de la Espriella joined Henriquez Avocats as a digital marketing manager.
Marvin holds a degree in Communication and Journalism from the Universidad Autónoma del Caribe in Colombia and a degree in Graphic Design from the Ahuntsic College in Montreal.
Isabella Velasquez
Digital Marketing Assistant
Isabella was recruited to the Henriquez Avocats team in 2018. At first, Isabella got the position of an office clerk. Despite her young age, she was soon offered the receptionist position due to her empathy and ease of communication with people. However, she kept pursuing her primary goal: to join the Marketing Department of Henriquez Lawyers.
A few years later, thanks to her quick learning ability, determination, positivism, and creativity, Isabella has successfully achieved her goal. She is now a dedicated content creation employee on the TikTok platform. She aims to produce entertaining legal content to give the public free legal tips and advice. The videos have been shared in several countries worldwide and have been viewed thousands of times.
Soon to be a marketing student, she is passionate about creating and bringing new ideas to our office. Isabella accepts all challenges without hesitation and loves to throw herself into the unknown.
Alexandra Dominguez
Receptionist
Alexandra joined the Henriquez Avocats team in 2022 as a receptionist. She has several work experiences in different fields, such as finance and art. She is curious and eager to acquire new knowledge.
Since a young age, Alexandra has been passionate about art. She likes to develop her creativity daily and think about different ways of interpreting life. She brings a new and enriching perspective on the legal world to our team.
As a daughter of Latin American immigrants, she wants to offer Spanish-speaking clients the comfort of feeling at home. As a hard worker, she is an essential pillar between the attorney and the client, and therefore she handles calls, emails, and booking appointments.
Mona Salvatore
Articling student for the Quebec Bar
Mona joined the team in August 2023 as an articling student for the Quebec Bar. Mona holds a Bachelor of Laws from Université de Montréal and a Bachelor of Political Science from McGill University.
Mona is passionate about family law. She is currently writing her master's thesis at the Université de Sherbrooke, her approach being a comparative application of the concept of the best interest of the child in Canadian law. Her main area of research is the Convention on the Rights of the Child and how its content is applied within Canada, primarily in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
Mona is a hard worker and passionate about human rights. She has taken part in a number of research projects during her university studies. She has notably researched family reconfigurations, focusing on parenthood, filiation, adoption, surrogacy and step-parenthood at the pan-Canadian level.
Emmy Labbé
Law student
Emmy started working at Henriquez Avocats as a law student in July 2023. She holds a degree in international relations and international law from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) and she is currently pursuing a law degree at McGill’s University.
Passionate about immigration law, human rights and international law, Emmy has been President of the Immigration Law Club at UQAM and she is currently Co-President of McGill’s student chapter of the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP). During her university studies, she has also been involved with the International Clinic for the Defense of Human Rights at UQAM, with McGill’s International Law Society, and she has worked for non-governmental international organisations.
Due to her sincere interest to learn more about other cultures and legal systems, Emmy did an internship in Lima, Peru, with a legal clinic for migrants and refugees, and with a legal clinic for human rights and disabilities.
